Do I need to register for an account to browse the site?
YouGotRated is a public venue, so you don't have to register with us if you just want to read reviews. You only need you to create a profile, if you wish to rate, review or post a complaint about a business.
Why do I need a profile to write a review?
Why did I receive an invitation to write a Review about a YouGotRated listed business?
You will only be invited to write a review about a business if that business is a participant in our Verified Merchant Program and you made an online purchase from that Business.
We reserve the right to investigate the accuracy of your Review
Everyone in the Community has the right to post a review about any business, but in order to keep the community transparent for the benefit of all users; sometimes it is necessary that we investigate the accuracy and truthfulness of a Review, especially if the review is reported to have been posted by non-clients, employees of a merchant, other merchants competitors of a business or if it violates our Terms and Conditions.
Can I change my email address or edit my Profile Picture?
By login to your profile you can update any information in your account settings at the click of a button including your email address and profile user name and photo.
Can I Edit Or Delete My Reviews?
From your profile page you will be able to see all your posts and ratings and you can edit, modify or delete any review you have posted on any business.
I noticed that someone posted spam or another inappropriate message
You should report the post to the site administrator at email@example.com
I saw a complaint about a bad experience with a Merchant but the post no longer appears and has been removed
The Site Administrator under certain circumstances may delete all complaints, reviews and general posts. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions. In addition, if the Merchant participates in the Buyer Protection Program, most likely the parties reached an agreement and the post was removed.
Users should have the right to free expression and should be able to post anything they like - Isn't it censorship when a Site Administrator interferes with that right?
No and No, We allow great leeway in what users are allowed to say, but Site Administrators reserve the right to delete and/or modify any message at any time if it infringes on the rights of others or it is not consistent with the spirit of the site according to the Terms and Conditions and our Community Guidelines
There is nothing in your site that says that posts need to be constructive, non-ironic or even polite.
While other user's questions and/or viewpoints may not seem relevant to you, they may still be important and relevant to the poster. Please treat them with respect and respond in a manner in which you would like people to respond to you. Posts that appear to be aimed at "trolling" rather than engaging in constructive discussion may be deleted. Please refer to our Community Guidelines.
